19 June 2021 - St George
Day 10. 19 June 2021
St George
St George is another surprising gem of a country town. We only had two nights booked here, but decided late today to stay one more night. St George is a quiet, clean and friendly town with quite a lot to see. An early morning walk along the Balonne Riverbank to the Jack Taylor Weir and back through town to our caravan park was a nice way to start the day. A little planning for the rest of the day's activities was done at DeliCafe, another very good local coffee shop. After lunch we set out to explore some of the surrounding area including a drive to Beardmore Dam and along the Cotton Trail. A chat around the fire with new friends and our friendly caravan park hosts topped off another relaxing day.
